The mission of this role is to work on projects involving diverse technologies for customers in the energy metering sector, researching and developing solutions aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware systems that constitute metering solutions, as well as providing technical support for products in our portfolio. This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and demands a strong technical foundation to deliver integrated and innovative solutions. **Responsibilities** Develop Smart Grid-focused solutions in collaboration with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, based on requirements gathered by Product Managers from customers. Develop and validate embedded software/firmware for metering systems, applying sound development practices while balancing cost, quality, and *time to market*. Analyze product requirements and prepare firmware project technical specifications. Plan and implement unit tests and embedded tests for firmware components. Plan and execute evolutionary and corrective firmware maintenance to address defects, regulatory compliance, and new functional requirements. Verify product compliance with national and international technical standards. Conduct performance experiments and tests, interpret results, and propose improvements. Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to identify and resolve issues using tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes. Provide internal technical support regarding design decisions within your area of expertise. Participate in design reviews and contribute feedback to improve performance and reliability. Prepare technical documentation in English (firmware requirements, architecture, and implementation documentation). Serve as a technical reference for the team and lead initiatives for improvement and innovation. Lead technical meetings (local or global) to investigate issues, discuss alternatives, and promote continuous improvement. Support the team and management in technical decision-making by recommending appropriate tools, procedures, and approaches for new demands and requirements. **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Proven experience in firmware development for electronic devices. Advanced experience in diagnosing faults in embedded systems. Experience in validation of embedded software. Experience in technical specification of projects. Proficiency in C, C\+\+ and, preferably, Assembly. Knowledge of code versioning (e.g., Git, SVN). Solid knowledge of communication protocols and hardware interfaces. Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation. Experience in product testing and validation methodologies. Advanced English proficiency.
