Job Summary: Professional to conduct hearing screenings, assess and intervene in swallowing, language, speech, voice, and hearing disorders, and develop individualized therapeutic plans. Develop individualized therapeutic plans focused on rehabilitation **Bring your talent to Unimed Guarulhos and let’s together fulfill our vocation of caring.** **Who We Are Looking For:** **SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Conduct age- and clinical-condition-appropriate hearing screenings and clinical assessments. * Assess and intervene in swallowing, language, speech, voice, and hearing disorders. * Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and discuss therapeutic approaches with physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals. * Develop individualized therapeutic plans focused on functional rehabilitation and quality of life. * Document clinical and therapeutic progress in the electronic medical record. * Provide guidance to family members and staff on safe feeding practices, alternative communication methods, and speech-language pathology care. * Conduct periodic reassessments per institutional protocol. * Refer patients to complementary therapies (psychology, occupational therapy, nutrition, physiotherapy, genetics) as needed. * Apply hearing screening protocols (EOA). * Perform functional swallowing assessments (including for tracheostomized patients or those at risk of aspiration). * Evaluate oral reflexes: sucking, swallowing, and breathing. * Identify signs of silent aspiration and guide staff on feeding management. * Assess oropharyngeal dysphagia and recommend safe feeding strategies. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; * Prior experience in a hospital setting; * Experience working with both adults and children. **Additional Information** Unimed Guarulhos Health Plan: Considering your health and well-being, we offer a high-quality health insurance plan.
