We are seeking a **Senior Data Engineer** to help build and evolve the data infrastructure underpinning our operations. We’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving complex problems, and transforming diverse information sources into reliable, scalable, and maintainable data pipelines. You’ll have the space to propose solutions, challenge technical choices, and actively participate in evolving our architecture. This is not a people management or Chapter Lead role. The focus is on technical depth, autonomy, and delivery quality. **Role Description** --------------------- Your challenge will be ensuring data arrives at the right place, in the right format, and with the reliability required to power products, analytics, and machine learning models. Day-to-day, you’ll work with large volumes of data, integrations, automations, and various teams across the company. In addition to building new pipelines, we expect you to help improve existing ones—making our platform more observable, efficient, and ready to scale. This is an opportunity for those who want direct product impact, active participation in technical decisions, and to work in an environment where there’s still substantial room to shape and build. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Design, develop, and evolve data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines. * Build robust, scalable, monitorable, and auditable solutions. * Contribute to evolving the data architecture—aiming for higher performance, modularity, and traceability. * Create integrations with APIs, files, webhooks, platforms, and other data sources. * Develop and organize data transformation processes using dbt. * Create and maintain data orchestration workflows. * Implement tests, validations, and monitoring mechanisms to prevent failures and inconsistencies. * Investigate incidents and bottlenecks, identify root causes, and implement definitive solutions. * Support Product, Analytics, Operations, and Machine Learning teams in efficiently using the data platform. * Contribute to technical decisions and establish standards that improve delivery quality. **Requirements** -------------- This role may be a strong match if you have: * Practical experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments. * Proficiency in Python and SQL. * Experience with GCP, especially BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage. * Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar. * Experience with dbt and data transformation processes. * Knowledge of ETL or ELT processes and integration across diverse data sources. * Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, and software development best practices. * Experience with pipeline monitoring, observability, and failure handling. * Ability to investigate complex issues and translate diagnostics into practical solutions. * Autonomy to drive deliveries without compromising collaboration with the rest of the team.
