Optimize costs, delivery timelines, and service quality **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** We seek a professional to handle import and export operations, ensuring that logistics, customs registrations, system records, and all documentation comply with current legislation. This professional will be responsible for full control of the processes, guaranteeing competitive costs, timely delivery, and effective service to internal and external customers. **Responsibilities and Duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** * Analyze new requests for imported materials, evaluating supplier, requester, material type, and required delivery timelines. * Monitor cargo readiness, schedule international transportation (air/sea), verify shipping documents, and forward them to the customs broker for process initiation and nationalization. * Validate taxes, request approvals, issue entry invoices, and schedule road transportation for delivery to requesters. * Simulate, analyze, and validate import and export costs according to internal requirements. * Monitor performance indicators to optimize costs, delivery timelines, and service quality. * Analyze, record, and request payment of expenses related to foreign trade operations (customs brokers, domestic/international transportation, insurance, various services). * Ensure correct expense allocation in the system. * Update and disseminate departmental policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to company rules. * Conduct quotations and negotiations for spot (non-contractual) international freight. * Act as an interface with internal departments, ensuring alignment between business and foreign trade operations. * Monitor DUE generation and registration, organize documents in system/server, update follow-up spreadsheets, and send original documents to Customer Service. * Support processing of special licenses with approving authorities. * Comply with internal policies, training, standards, procedures, and management systems. * Perform related activities as required by workflow needs. **Requirements and Qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** * Completed undergraduate degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, International Relations, or related fields. * Intermediate English; * Intermediate Spanish; * Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel). * Import and export systems (e.g., ImportSys, ExportSys). * SAP Integrated System (MM and/or FI modules). * Knowledge of customs legislation. * Knowledge of OEA certification. * Willingness to work 100% on-site in Porto Feliz **Additional Information** The **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion operations and 62 paper mills.
