The organization offers undergraduate and certification programs in fields such as nursing, health sciences, business, IT, and liberal arts. In addition to its headquarters in West Virginia, the client operates facilities and partner institutions across the United States. The primary product areas you will work with include learning management systems, student enrollment, and academic operations on web and mobile platforms. - Your Responsibilities: - Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake as the primary cloud data platform. - Implement and maintain the Medallion architecture in Snowflake, ensuring a robust dimensional model for the gold layer. - Define and oversee data transformation processes using Coalesce.io, and manage data extraction and loading with Airbyte. - Integrate and modernize legacy data systems built on SQL Server/SSIS, with limited use of Azure Data Factory when necessary. - Design and optimize the BI semantic layer to enable self-service analytics in Power BI. - Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data architecture solutions. - Establish best practices for data modeling, pipeline development, and version control using GitHub. - Track project progress and deliveries via Jira. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the project team. **Skills:** - Requirements: - Proven experience as a Data Architect or Solutions Architect, with a strong background in cloud-based data platforms. - Practical expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server/SSIS, and some experience with Azure Data Factory. - Deep understanding of the Medallion architecture and dimensional data modeling. - Solid knowledge of designing and maintaining BI semantic models for self-service analytics. - Experience establishing and applying data engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices. - Familiarity with Jira for project management and GitHub for version control. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams. - Minimum availability of 4 hours overlapping with U.S. Eastern Time. Prior programming experience in any language Advanced knowledge of algorithms (four algorithmic challenges will be administered) Availability to work with some time overlap with U.S. Central Time (between 9 AM and 11 AM CDT) - Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Python
