Description
### **About Us**
Technology is what drives us and sustains our accelerated growth.
From the ground up, every scooter leaves our garage equipped with an IoT device, ensuring 24/7 support for delivery personnel and generating valuable data for decision-making.
Our entire technology ecosystem is developed in-house:
* Proprietary fleet management, maintenance, and customer support systems;
* Cloud-native architecture from day one, focused on best practices and modern technologies.
### **Responsibilities and Duties**
**Technical Scope and Architecture**
* Design, build, operate, and support highly available, fault-tolerant, observable, high-performance, secure, and scalable platform tools, systems, and infrastructure within a cloud-based environment;
* Define the technical vision and platform roadmap for multiple squads/teams, ensuring alignment with medium- and long-term business objectives;
* Lead RFCs and architectural decision records (ADRs) for critical infrastructure initiatives;
* Serve as a cross-team technical reference, influencing architectural decisions across the entire engineering organization—not just within your own team;
* Define observability, security, and compliance standards for the entire engineering organization, ensuring consistency across squads;
* Lead resilience and disaster recovery initiatives, including multi-cloud/multi-region architecture and response to critical incidents (SEV1).
**Technical Leadership**
* Mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers, elevating the team’s technical standards through code reviews, design reviews, and pair programming;
* Be the go-to expert for complex technical decisions, helping other teams resolve structural infrastructure problems;
* Own the FinOps/cloud cost optimization strategy, with dedicated goals and OKRs, proposing and tracking cost-reduction initiatives;
* Translate business needs into infrastructure technical strategy, participating in planning discussions alongside Engineering leadership.
**Execution and Operations**
* Configure and maintain new build and CI/CD tools, IaC implementations, and engineering productivity tools;
* Ensure security compliance in production environments;
* Provide engineering support for issues related to product deployment, availability, and internal operations;
* Configure and maintain infrastructure and product reliability monitoring and alerting;
* Collaborate with engineers to understand build pipelines and tooling requirements;
* Apply a data-driven approach to evaluate new infrastructures (off-the-shelf, internal, or hybrid), including IaC governance (module registry, policies via OPA/Sentinel, etc.).
### **Requirements and Qualifications**
* 10+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-team technical initiatives;
* Cloud experience: GCP, Azure, and AWS (primarily GCP);
* Technical experience with the CI/CD ecosystem and its services (GitHub Actions and Argo CD);
* Advanced knowledge of orchestration and containers for microservices;
* Solid hands-on experience with managed Kubernetes (k8s)—GKE: Kubernetes architecture, HPA, deployments, services, ingress controller, ConfigMaps, Secrets, etc.;
* Knowledge of networking and related technologies: Nginx, Ingress, Cloudflare, DNS, SSL, Load Balancers, VPNs, APNs, etc.;
* Advanced experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform (or similar), including module governance and standardization;
* Experience developing automations to build platform tools;
* Familiarity with development tools: Git, code review, pull requests, CI/CD;
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Loki Stack (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) and Datadog;
* Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, capable of influencing decisions without formal managerial authority.
