Job Summary: A Nutrition professional responsible for evaluating, prescribing, monitoring, and providing nutritional guidance to patients, ensuring appropriate therapy and compliance with protocols and legislation. Development and supervision of technical protocols **Description and Responsibilities:** **Schedule:** 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 12x36 shift pattern **Level:** Professional **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT 1. Verify patients receiving enteral nutrition (EN), parenteral nutrition (PN), nasogastric feeding (NG), and infant formulas; 2. Review and update the shift handover log; 3. Conduct admission, triage, diagnosis, and nutritional assessment for new patients in the unit; 4. Approve dietary prescriptions following surgical procedures, examinations, or as prescribed by physicians; 5. Develop dietary prescriptions based on nutritional diagnosis guidelines, considering drug-nutrient and nutrient-nutrient interactions. 6. Prescribe oral diets, dietary supplements, infant formulas, and enteral diets according to nutritional diagnosis guidelines; 7. Record analysis of the patient’s assisted care parameters (APAP) over the past 24 hours; 8. Analyze biochemical test results to determine nutritional management strategies; 9. Complete nutritional therapy monitoring spreadsheets per unit protocols and procedures (Census, Prescribed/Infused; Palliative Care; Pressure Injury; and Gastrointestinal Issues (diarrhea and constipation)); 10. Document dietary prescriptions and nutritional progress in patient medical records according to pre-established protocols, defining goals and care plans; 11. Provide nutritional counseling upon patient discharge for oral diets and nutritional therapy, extending such guidance to caregivers, family members, or responsible parties when applicable; 12. Guide and supervise the distribution of oral and enteral diets, verifying acceptance rate, infusion rate, and dietary tolerance; 13. Prepare technical reports on non-conformities that hinder proper professional practice or jeopardize human health, submitting them to the immediate supervisor and competent authorities when applicable; 14. Establish and supervise implementation of service technical protocols, complying with regulations issued by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) specific to this sector; 15. Develop and implement technical specifications for non-modulated (artisanal) preparations, keeping them updated; 16. Formulate enteral nutrition (EN), specifying its qualitative and quantitative composition, dosing schedule, and presentation formats; 17. Monitor patients’ nutritional progression; 18. Define specifications in procurement descriptions for supplies (formulas, consumables, packaging materials, and supplements); 19. Determine complementary procedures for patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Nutritional Therapy team; 20. Participate periodically in institutional and external training and updates, as requested by the supervisor; 21. Monitor, identify, and correct labeling errors during meal preparation verification; 22\. Support units’ teams in guidance regarding administration, verification, and monitoring of nutritional therapy supplies; **Requirements:*** Completed undergraduate degree in Nutrition; * Prior experience in this role is desirable; * Active Regional Nutrition Council (CRN) registration; * Hospital experience is a plus. **Benefits:** Disclosed during the interview
