Job Description: School Nutritionist We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Nutritionist to join our team and ensure the nutritional quality and food safety for students and staff at our educational institution. The professional will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to school meals, promoting healthy eating habits and contributing to students’ holistic development. ________________________________ Key Responsibilities * Menu Planning and Development: o Develop and adapt balanced, nutritious menus for different age groups, adhering to guidelines of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) and other applicable legislation. o Consider special nutritional needs, dietary restrictions (allergies, intolerances), and cultural preferences, preparing individualized diets when necessary, upon submission of a medical certificate. o Prepare technical specifications for food preparations and calculate the nutritional value of meals. * Inventory and Procurement Management: o Specify and oversee procurement of food items, ensuring product quality and proper storage conditions. o Manage inventory, monitoring expiration dates and stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out). o Conduct hygienic-sanitary control of kitchen and cafeteria facilities, equipment, and utensils, complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. * Supervision and Training: o Train and supervise cafeteria staff/kitchen assistants on food preparation, handling, storage, and distribution techniques. o Monitor portion sizes and students’ acceptance of meals. * Nutrition Education: o Design and implement nutrition education projects and activities for students, parents, and teachers. o Deliver lectures, workshops, and campaigns encouraging healthy food choices. * Evaluation and Monitoring: o Conduct nutritional assessments of students (where applicable and with consent). o Prepare periodic reports on food consumption, menu acceptance, and quality indicators. ________________________________ Required Qualifications * Education: Completed undergraduate degree in Nutrition. * Registration: Active registration with the Regional Nutrition Council (CRN). * Experience: Prior experience in School Nutrition, Industrial Kitchens (UAN), or Collective Food Services is preferred. * Knowledge: Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ANVISA regulations, and the National School Feeding Program (PNAE). * Skills: o Excellent communication and teaching skills for nutrition education. o Ability to manage teams and resolve conflicts. o Organizational skills, proactivity, and attention to detail. ________________________________ We Offer * Work Schedule: 44 hours per week. * Salary: BRL 3,300.00. * Benefits: o Meal Allowance o Food Voucher o iFood Benefits (card or benefits program) o Basic Food Basket o Vehicle Expense Allowance * Collaborative work environment focused on student well-being.
