Description
The **Monitoring Operator** is the professional responsible for monitoring, in real time, electronic surveillance systems—such as security cameras (CCTV), alarms, and other devices—with the objective of preventing incidents, identifying risk situations, and supporting both asset and operational security.
**Main responsibilities:**
* Monitor images and information from CCTV, alarm, and security software systems;
* Identify suspicious behaviors, incidents, or irregularities;
* Record events and incidents in designated systems or reports;
* Activate security teams, maintenance personnel, or competent authorities when necessary;
* Follow standard operating protocols and procedures;
* Maintain confidentiality and secrecy regarding monitored information;
* Test and verify the proper functioning of surveillance systems;
* Support the preparation of reports and incident tracking.
**Requirements and skills:**
* Sustained attention and strong observational ability;
* Good verbal and written communication skills;
* Basic knowledge of computer systems and monitoring technologies;
* Ability to act calmly and swiftly in risky situations;
* Ethics, discretion, and accountability;
* Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights.
**Work environment:**
Works in monitoring centers, security companies, condominiums, industrial facilities, hospitals, shopping malls, and public agencies.
