Support for robotic systems and automated cells **Job Description** This position requires on-site work at the Joinville/SC plant. **Responsibilities:** * Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechatronic equipment and systems, applying structured fault diagnosis, component replacement, fine-tuning, and functional testing to ensure process availability and reliability. * Carry out installations, configurations, and commissioning of machines, devices, and mechatronic systems, strictly adhering to technical specifications, internal procedures, and safety standards. * Program, parameterize, and adjust automation devices, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), inverters, supervisory control systems, sensors, and actuators, ensuring operational stability. * Conduct technical analysis and drive continuous improvement of machines and processes by proposing corrective and preventive actions, standardizations, cost reductions, and performance optimizations. * Integrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to guarantee synergistic and proper operation of industrial equipment, with emphasis on efficiency and repeatability. * Support interventions in robotic systems and automated cells by performing basic adjustments, calibrations, and operational verifications per defined procedures. * Prepare and document technical reports, service orders, failure analyses, incident logs, and feedback for engineering, operations, and leadership teams. * Collaborate on projects and improvement initiatives, supporting layout modifications, technology upgrades, and implementation of new equipment. * Promote best practices in organization, safety, and operational discipline, maintaining the workstation according to corporate standards and ensuring personnel and asset integrity. * Train operators and maintenance colleagues on basic equipment operation, equipment care, and maintenance guidance, contributing to enhanced team technical knowledge. * Stay updated on new technologies, methods, and tools by participating in internal and external training programs and applying acquired knowledge daily. **ATTENTION: Do not forget to attach your resume with an active email address.** **Required Qualifications:** * Technical degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Electrical or Industrial Mechanics, or Industrial Automation; * Availability to work all three shifts under regular or rotating schedules; * On-site work at the Joinville/SC plant. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams; * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems; * Familiarity with FANUC robots; * Knowledge of inverters and Rockwell PLCs; * Experience in machining engine blocks and cylinder heads, GM equipment – robots, machining centers, production lines, and robotic cells. * Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and FANUC PLCs; Siemens and FANUC CNCs. * Experience with Profinet, Ethernet, and Profibus network systems, vision systems. * Experience with Kistler and Promess press systems. * Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. \&\#xa;\&\#xa;\&\#xa;\&\#xa; **About GM** Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all. **Why Join Us** We believe we all must make a choice every day – individually and collectively – to drive meaningful change through our words, our deeds and our culture.
