We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant position in the Permanent Way Department.** **If you meet the requirements for this opportunity, please apply and don’t forget to share it with your network.** **Our job openings are also inclusive.** **\#TICTrens \#opportunities** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on equipment, facilities, and systems under direct supervision of officers or technicians, contributing to proper operation of the company’s operational assets. * Carry out maintenance support activities such as transportation, organization, and sorting of materials, tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring their availability and readiness for use by the responsible team. * Perform simple manual and operational tasks, such as component cleaning, scraping, basic painting, waste removal, and surface preparation for maintenance, following instructions from the activity supervisor. * Assist in assembling and disassembling parts, structures, or equipment—handing tools, supporting mechanical or electrical components—always under supervision of a more experienced professional. * Perform grass cutting, mowing, and technical cleaning in operational areas and yards, aiming to maintain a clean, safe environment compliant with established standards. * Assist in moving and transporting heavy materials such as sleepers, rails, cables, pipes, and mechanical components, observing safety and ergonomics regulations. * Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas, warehouses, workshops, and maintenance vehicles, safeguarding the good condition of resources used by the team. * Use hand tools and simple support equipment—such as wrenches, sledgehammers, hand carts, pliers, hammers, buckets, brushes, etc.—strictly according to instructions and supervision. * Strictly comply with occupational health and safety and environmental procedures, correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following received instructions to prevent risks and accidents. * Support access control and area signage by installing cones, tapes, signs, and barriers per team leadership instructions. * Promptly follow instructions from Officers, Technicians, Leaders, or Supervisors, contributing discipline and readiness toward fulfilling established work plans. * Participate in basic training and safety and technical procedure inductions, staying updated on minimum practices required for safe and efficient performance of assigned tasks. * Ensure proper use and preservation of materials, tools, and PPE under one’s responsibility, reporting any damage or loss to the immediate supervisor. TIC Trens will be responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining the North Axis Intercity Train, connecting São Paulo to Campinas, reaching speeds up to 140 km/h, with capacity for up to 860 passengers per trip. The 101-km route will provide express service between Barra Funda Terminal, Jundiaí, and Campinas, lasting 64 minutes. There will also be the Intermunicipal Train (TIM) between Jundiaí and Campinas, spanning 44 kilometers and taking 33 minutes. The project further includes operation, maintenance, and modernization of São Paulo’s Metropolitan Rail Line 7\-Rubi.**
