We are seeking a **Senior Magento Developer** to serve as the technical authority and architect of our platform. The professional will be responsible for defining backend guidelines, leading the strategic migration to Magento Community, and ensuring the architecture is scalable, secure, and efficiently integrated into the bringIT ecosystem. They will work within a multidisciplinary team, handling a high-volume e-commerce operation and a headless architecture. **Responsibilities and duties** * Define and evolve the Magento platform’s backend architecture, ensuring scalability and performance * Provide technical leadership to the backend development team, establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and mentoring team members * Design and review critical integrations with external systems (ERP, Payment Gateways, Fraud Prevention, OMS, and PIM) * Technically manage the migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community, ensuring module compatibility and a zero-downtime strategy * Diagnose and resolve high-complexity critical incidents related to infrastructure, performance, and security (PHP-FPM, Nginx, OpenSearch) * Monitor and optimize the platform using Grafana and Tempo, proactively acting on observability metrics * Collaborate with the Product Owner on technical refinement, effort estimation, and feasibility assessment of the product roadmap **Requirements and qualifications** ### **Mandatory:** * Completed undergraduate degree in Technology-related fields (Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems), IT Management, or related areas * Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience * Solid experience with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce / Community) and PHP 8.x (applying SOLID principles and Design Patterns) * Advanced knowledge of API architecture (REST and GraphQL) in the context of Magento e-commerce * Proficiency in infrastructure and performance ecosystems: MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ * Practical experience in observability and troubleshooting using Grafana, Tempo, and structured log analysis * Familiarity with infrastructure environments (Docker, Nginx, PHP-FPM) and foundational knowledge of headless architecture (Vue.js) ### **Desirable (differentiators):** * Prior experience in strategic migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community * Familiarity with Vue.js/Nuxt frontends to support API architecture decisions (Headless Commerce) * Experience in high-volume transactional e-commerce and critical workflows (PIX, Fraud Prevention) * Knowledge of e-commerce security (OWASP Top 10 practices, hardening, and suspicious traffic analysis) * Experience with automation and integration tools (n8n, Zapier, or similar) * Adobe Commerce certifications (Developer or Architect) **Additional information** **We offer to PJ contractors:** * Remote work * Equipment loan * 20 days of paid recess * Discount on bringIT products At bringIT, we believe people are the driving force behind our success.
