




**Job Mission:** Plan, control, evaluate, and monitor activities related to the production and submission (PPA) process of initial samples for new projects and current processes, in accordance with the criteria defined in VDA 2 standard. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Activity Description:** • Manage, attend, and participate in (Piece-by-Piece) meetings for new projects, representing QA Parts alongside other company departments and reporting on the status of VDA 2 evaluations; • Prepare materials and present the status of projects under your responsibility during internal quality meetings (“Feirinha”); • Participate in product development, ensuring compliance with quality requirements for new projects involving national and international suppliers (project kick-off / RAD); • Receive and evaluate initial samples according to the VDA 2 standard from national and international suppliers; • Receive, evaluate, and disposition items within the graining release process; • Lead action plans jointly with readiness teams and suppliers that have failed VDA 2 assessments, communicating reasons for failure and required actions for resubmission of samples; • Conduct monitoring visits to suppliers’ facilities for advanced component development, as needed (Born To Be Note 1); • Monitor and disposition component submissions requiring software/hardware evaluation and input into the HARMON system; • Represent VWCO Quality as the technical body in cross-brand group forums relevant to this activity; • Manage high-risk suppliers by prioritizing VDA 2 evaluations, monitoring try-outs, issuing quality opinions on mitigation proposals to prevent supply chain disruption (Risk Management), generating control indicators, and managing inventory of parts from high-risk suppliers under evaluation; • Input evaluation scores for submissions per VDA 2 standard (Dimensional, Material, and Functional); • Monitor, manage, and direct activities related to the backlog of projects and series production. • Analyze and validate samples and processes originating from vehicle electronic and software projects, perform integration between functional systems (SW-HW), and grant final product release for production). **Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:** • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Production Engineering / Chemistry / Electrical Engineering / Electronics or related fields. • Postgraduate degree in Quality, Measurement Systems, or Product Development and Management. **Languages:** • Fluent English • Spanish (preferred) **Specialized Courses:** • Knowledge in project management, polymers, castings, forgings, software, and hardware With a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for cargo and passenger transportation, Volkswagen Trucks and Buses is one of the **largest truck and bus manufacturers in Latin America**, and part of the **TRATON Group**, one of the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, comprising the brands Volkswagen Trucks and Buses, MAN, Scania, Navistar, and RIO.
