Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, assist customers, weigh or scan products, enter the corresponding barcode, answer customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, or availability of items advertised in the promotional flyer, accept cash payments or card payments (meal vouchers, debit/credit cards), complete transactions and issue fiscal receipts, notify the cashier supervisor in case of complaints (e.g., payment issues) or alert the packer when assistance is required to locate items in the store—all aimed at delivering optimal customer service.
