Production Assistant

Description

General production line tasks, including: Perform tasks in the Cutting/Welding, Perforating, and Trimming departments as required. Cutting and Welding: Begin work according to the production order; Enter order information on the finishing checklist; Occasionally measure the product according to the Service Order; Move coils, when necessary, using carts from extrusion to the cutting and welding machine; Assist the operator during coil changeovers; Manually collect finished products at the end of the conveyor belt; Package products according to specifications on the Production Order form; Weigh packaged products according to specifications on the Production Order form; Place packaged products onto racks; Perform visual self-inspection of weld quality, segregating non-conforming items; Perforating: Individually package products (coils); Assemble bundles of 4, 6, or 8 coils according to the production order; Weigh bundles; Perform coil changeovers during production. Trimming: Collect trimmings from bag-making machines, perforating machines, and low-speed machines every forty minutes; Replace full trimming bags with empty ones; Transport trimming bags to weighing stations, assisted by another assistant to load them onto carts; After weighing, record on the department’s production checklist: machine number, supplier, and production order number. Maintain a clean and organized work area; Use and maintain PPE and uniforms.
