Our client is a leading recruiting firm with top engineers from technology hotspots. You'll take full ownership of a greenfield modernization project: converting an existing C\#/.NET desktop application into a modern, scalable web application. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, understands end\-to\-end systems, and can drive a project from architecture through production with minimal oversight. **Project Overview** * Migrate an existing C\# .NET desktop application to a web\-based platform; * Frontend built with React \+ Next.js; * Backend built with NestJS; * SQL Server as the primary database; * UI/UX should closely match the existing desktop application while modernizing the web experience. REQUIREMENTS * Strong experience with React and Next.js. * Solid knowledge of NestJS (or comparable Node.js backend frameworks). * Knowledge of C\# and SQL Server. * Expertise in translating existing applications into web architectures. * Hands\-on experience with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap for UI/UX work. * Understanding handling DevOps responsibilities (deployment, cloud hosting, CI/CD). * Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. * Strong problem\-solving and ownership mindset. * A self\-driven, reliable engineer who can make decisions and implement. * Someone comfortable wearing multiple hats: frontend, backend, and DevOps. * A contractor who treats the project like their own product, not just a set of tasks. NICE TO HAVE * Experience migrating desktop or legacy applications to the web. * Experience with Cloud (AWS, GCP, or similar). * Eye for UI/UX consistency and usability. RESPONSIBILITIES * Take complete ownership of the project from start to finish. * Design and implement the frontend, backend, and infrastructure. * Rebuild existing desktop workflows in a modern web UI. * Develop clean, scalable APIs using NestJS. * Design and manage SQL Server schemas, queries, and migrations. * Build a responsive, polished UI using Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap. * Set up and manage deployment, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. * Ensure performance, security, and maintainability. * Communicate progress clearly and proactively.
