Job Summary: We are seeking a senior professional to serve as a technical reference at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure, and SRE, ensuring reliability and efficiency in data ecosystems and multi-cloud platforms. Optimize database performance and cloud operational costs We seek a senior professional with strong experience in database reliability and cloud infrastructure, to serve as a technical reference at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure, and modern SRE practices. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, integrity, traceability, and efficiency of data ecosystems and cloud platforms in multi\-cloud environments. Responsibilities * Design and operate resilient data and infrastructure architectures in multi\-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). * Ensure reliability of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). * Implement full observability for databases and data pipelines (logs, metrics, tracing, and auditing). * Define SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for data and infrastructure services. * Automate provisioning and management of resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). * Architect backup, disaster recovery, replication, and high availability strategies. * Optimize database performance (query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and capacity planning). * Collaborate with Data Engineering on pipeline ETL/ELT reliability and medalion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). * Operate containerized platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS). * Implement DevOps and DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines and data environments. * Promote automation, reduction of operational toil, and a reliability culture. * Optimize cloud operational costs and efficiency. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. * 10\+ years of experience with databases and at least 5 years with reliability, automation, or SRE practices. * Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases in mission-critical environments. * Hands-on experience in cloud environments (preferably AWS) and multi\-cloud architectures. * Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, or similar). * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and environment automation. * Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes or similar). * Knowledge of tuning, replication, troubleshooting, and high availability. * Experience with CI/CD and versioning of database changes. * Advanced English proficiency. Preferred Qualifications * Cloud or database certifications. * Experience in high-scale environments (fintech, iGaming, e\-commerce). * Knowledge of data streaming or event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka). * Experience with data lineage, data quality, and Lakehouse architectures.
