Integration with maintenance, mining, planning, and SSMA departments **Job Summary** The gold processing plant coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant, monitoring performance, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with operational standards and legal requirements. This role involves team and resource management, as well as integration of activities with maintenance, mining, planning, and SSMA departments. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate daily operations of the gold processing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and standards-compliant execution. * Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SSMA) regulations, promoting a culture of prevention and regulatory compliance. * Monitor and analyze operational performance indicators (production, availability, quality, costs, losses, consumables usage, etc.), taking corrective actions when necessary. * Identify, assess, and implement continuous process improvements to increase productivity, operational stability, and cost reduction. * Manage, develop, and supervise the operational team, providing feedback, supporting technical development, and ensuring alignment with departmental guidelines. * Maintain constant interface with maintenance, mining, planning, and SSMA departments to ensure operational integration and alignment. * Conduct operational meetings to cascade goals, action plans, and instructions to teams. * Contribute to operational and strategic planning by providing technical information, performance analyses, and recommendations for decision-making. * Participate in operational and strategic planning, contributing technical information and performance analyses. * Ensure adherence to procedures, operational standards, and applicable legal requirements for gold processing plant operations. * Manage operational resources (consumables, materials, and equipment), ensuring their availability and continuity of activities. **Mandatory Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mining, Chemical, Metallurgical, or related fields). * Prior experience in gold processing plant operations within the gold mining sector. * Experience managing operational teams and leading shifts. * Knowledge of crushing, grinding, classification, thickening, leaching, smelting, and filtration processes—or chemical processes—as applicable to the operation’s ore type. * Strong expertise in SSMA and thorough understanding of practices and regulations applicable to the mining sector. * Analytical capability to interpret indicators, reports, and operational targets. **Desirable Requirements** * Postgraduate degree in Industrial Management, Process Engineering, SSMA, or related fields. * Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen). * Experience with management systems (SAP, process control systems, PCM tools). * Experience with internal/external audits and certifications.
