**Responsibilities and Duties** **Operational Management of Reconditioning**
* Plan and supervise all used truck reconditioning and preparation activities across the three regional stores;
* Ensure proper vehicle prioritization according to commercial deadlines and inventory demands;
* Guarantee that services are performed within defined standards of quality, safety, and cost;
* Control vehicle flow—from intake, through execution, to release;
* Monitor productivity and technical efficiency indicators;
**Coordination of External Suppliers**
* Select, contract, and supervise external technical service providers (mechanical, painting, electrical, bodywork, cleaning, and detailing);
* Ensure partners meet deadlines, quality requirements, and safety standards;
* Negotiate commercial terms and monitor technical and financial performance of service providers;
* Conduct periodic audits of delivered services and implement improvement plans when necessary.
**Management of Technical Infrastructure and Resources**
* Manage capacity and utilization of in-house workshops and reconditioning yards;
* Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and consumables required for operations;
* Plan preventive maintenance for equipment and technical infrastructure;
* Control operational costs and optimize use of human and material resources.
**Technical Standardization and Compliance**
* Ensure adherence to technical norms and procedures established by the National Technical Supervisor;
* Implement best practices in quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety (HSE);
* Conduct quality inspections at key reconditioning stages and on completed vehicles;
* Support updates to technical manuals and repair standards.
**Technical Support to Commercial and Appraisal Teams**
* Provide technical support to appraisers and procurement teams regarding repair feasibility, scope, or recovery cost estimates;
* Prepare reconditioning cost and timeline estimates to support purchasing decisions;
* Collaborate closely with the commercial team to ensure delivery timelines and final-customer quality.
**Team Management and Professional Development**
* Coordinate and develop technical teams across the three stores, fostering motivation, efficiency, and standardized practices;
* Assess performance and identify technical training needs;
* Promote a culture of operational excellence and technical accountability;
* Encourage achievement of productivity and quality targets.
**Performance Reporting and Metrics**
* Monitor and report operational and financial results of regional technical activities;
* Track key metrics—including average reconditioning cost, cycle time, and rework rate;
* Generate management reports for the Regional Manager and National Technical Supervisor;
* Propose corrective actions and continuous improvements based on data.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **What are the mandatory criteria for this role?**
* Technical education in Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related fields;
* Solid experience in technical workshop management, reconditioning centers, or automotive after-sales;
* Proven experience managing technical teams and external suppliers;
* Practical knowledge of heavy-duty mechanics and truck repair;
* Skills in KPI management, planning, and decision-making;
**Technical Knowledge**
* Heavy-vehicle reconditioning and repair processes;
* Maintenance planning and quality control;
* Management of technical service contracts and suppliers;
* Technical and productivity performance indicators; digital workshop control and fleet management tools.
**What are the preferred/differentiating criteria for this role?**
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related disciplines;
* Basic English proficiency.
