Develop and qualify new suppliers Job Description Manage the procurement process for materials, supplies, services, and components used in manufacturing machinery and equipment within the metal-mechanical industry and/or items for operational and consumable use, ensuring optimal cost\-benefit ratio, quality, delivery timelines, and alignment with production, engineering, and inventory. Responsibilities * Conduct quotations and negotiations with domestic and international suppliers * Issue purchase orders and monitor the entire cycle until delivery * Develop and qualify new suppliers according to technical and quality criteria * Ensure material supply according to production and PCP demand * Monitor delivery timelines and address delays and non-conformities * Analyze pricing, commercial terms, and cost-reduction opportunities * Maintain updated supplier and material master data in the ERP system * Track supplier performance indicators (quality, delivery, and cost) * Collaborate closely with engineering, PCP, quality, and logistics teams * Support contract and commercial agreement management Requirements * Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields * Prior experience in procurement, preferably within the metal-mechanical or machinery manufacturing industry * Knowledge of negotiation and supplier management * Experience with ERP systems * Intermediate or advanced Excel proficiency * Familiarity with industrial processes and technical specification reading Advantages * Experience in capital goods manufacturing or machinery production * Knowledge of import operations and international trade * Experience in technical procurement (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components) * Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and cost-reduction methodologies * Technical or intermediate English proficiency * Experience in demand-driven procurement (make\-to\-order) * Knowledge of cost analysis and price composition Behavioral Competencies * Strong negotiation skills * Organization and planning ability * Logical and analytical reasoning * Clear and assertive communication * Proactive problem-solving * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Strategic and systemic view of the supply chain
