Principal Data Scientist | Forecasting & Decision Intelligence

We are looking for a professional who enjoys solving complex problems and views Data Science as a tool for decision-making. More than experience applying algorithms, we seek someone capable of understanding complex business problems before defining solutions, using Statistics and Quantitative Modeling to build robust models applied to real-world scenarios. **About your day-to-day responsibilities:** * Enhance advanced demand forecasting models, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability to support decisions related to perishable product management; * Engage across the full model development lifecycle—from data exploration through validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous evolution in production; * Develop solutions that transform demand forecasts into intelligent procurement recommendations, continuously expanding the platform's Decision Intelligence capabilities; * Translate complex business problems into robust quantitative models, balancing statistical rigor with practical application; * Ensure model quality, scalability, and governance in production using Databricks and its ecosystem; * Collaborate directly with the CTO and Product team to advance the company’s Data Science solutions. **Requirements:** * Solid experience in applied Data Science for solving complex business problems; * Experience developing, evolving, and deploying demand forecasting models using time series in production environments; * Proficiency in Statistics, Probability, Quantitative Modeling, and Linear Algebra applied to solving complex business problems; * Advanced proficiency in Python for model development, feature engineering, validation, deployment, and production monitoring; * Experience with Databricks and its ecosystem, including Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Machine Learning pipelines; * Advanced English for frequent interaction with international teams. **Nice-to-have qualifications:** * Experience with Prescriptive Analytics, Decision Intelligence, or decision-support systems; * Background in Operations Research, Econometrics, Dynamical Systems, or Optimization; * Experience with Forecasting applied to Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, or Pricing; * Experience in startups or technology companies operating in highly autonomous, fast-paced environments; * Familiarity with AI agents and LLM-based architectures.
