We are looking for a **Senior Kong Developer** who wants to grow with Vertigo! **\#GoVertigo** **Responsibilities and Duties** ----------------------------------- * Lead the development, maintenance, and evolution of the API lifecycle, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability in critical environments; * Define standards for API specification, documentation, and versioning (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, RAML), serving as the technical reference for the team; * Architect and evolve service-oriented (SOA) and microservices solutions, considering business requirements, resilience, and maintainability; * Lead service orchestration and adoption of service buses, ensuring consistent integration across heterogeneous systems; * Promote and consolidate software engineering best practices within the team, including DevOps, DevSecOps, TDD, Canary Release, Infrastructure as Code, and observability; * Design and review API test automation strategies, ensuring coverage and traceability; * Assume technical governance of the Kong API Gateway (Enterprise and Community editions), including deployment strategies, custom plugins, and environment management; * Serve as the technical reference point for architectural decisions involving containers (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts) and Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenShift). **Requirements and Qualifications** ------------------------------ * Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields; * Solid experience in architecture and integration of complex systems; * Advanced proficiency in Java and deep knowledge of SOA (REST, SOAP, XML, etc.); * Extensive hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway, including customizations and high-availability scenarios; * Advanced experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift); * Proven experience with agile methodologies, including work in high-performance teams; * Certifications in system integration, API management, or the Kong platform; * Proficiency in GraphQL, OpenAPI, Swagger, Developer Portal, and API Gateway; * Experience with Linux (shell scripting) and relational and non-relational databases; * Fluent English. **Preferred Qualifications** ---------------- * Experience building or evolving large-scale API management platforms; * Relevant certifications (Kong, AWS/Azure, DevOps, CKA/CKAD); * Prior experience in DevOps/DevSecOps environments with a focus on security and automation; * Ability to influence technical and business decisions in multidisciplinary contexts. **Behavioral Profile** ------------------------- * Clear communication with a consultative mindset, capable of influencing technical and business decisions.
