This conviction guides every decision we make, every project we deliver, and every person we develop. **What are we looking for?** **Key Responsibilities:** Define best development practices; Program, code, and test systems in the language, moving across backend development projects; Implement complex feature development; Propose technological enhancements to systems. Monitor adherence to system development best practices. Validate the existing test coverage in projects; Validate new application features; Monitor application system performance; Propose technological enhancements to systems; Anticipate opportunities and problems—acting swiftly and effectively with preventive solutions; Support junior developers and contribute to project-level decision-making; Perform system maintenance, implementing necessary changes to meet user requirements; Carry out program assembly, debugging, and testing tasks, providing maintenance services for already-developed programs. **Requirements:** Solid experience developing with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production systems Experience building and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs, with emphasis on performance and resilience Experience with data modeling and relational database (SQL) optimization in high-volume scenarios Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks (queries, latency, throughput, etc.) Experience with automated testing (unit and integration tests), preferably using TDD practices Experience working in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) environments Experience with software engineering best practices (clean code, code reviews, API design) Knowledge of web application security (authentication, authorization, data protection) Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) **Nice-to-Haves:** Experience with distributed architectures or microservices Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Experience with observability (logs, metrics, tracing) Knowledge of event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka) Experience in fintechs, insurtechs, or high-scale digital products **Work Location: Remote** **Why build your career at Insi?** Because here, you think, decide, and create together.
