We are seeking a **Senior Backend Developer** to join the **Flow Platform** team — CI\&T’s Artificial Intelligence platform responsible for delivering shared multi-cloud infrastructure capabilities, AI Gateway, identity, observability, and developer experience for the company’s AI products. This person will work on building and evolving backend services, integrations, and core platform components, contributing to a scalable, event-driven ecosystem prepared to support AI-based applications. We seek someone with solid backend development experience using Node.js, modern architecture, and interest in leveraging AI to accelerate software development and improve delivery quality. **Responsibilities** Develop and evolve backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and event-driven architectures. Build integrations with AI providers and platform services, ensuring scalability, observability, and security. Design and evolve data models and analytical pipelines in PostgreSQL. Participate in architecture definition, technical reviews, and evolution of the platform’s engineering standards. Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD processes and operations in Kubernetes and multi-cloud environments. Use AI agents and tools to accelerate the software development lifecycle — from technical design through implementation and testing. Collaborate with product, platform, and engineering teams to build innovative and scalable solutions. **Requirements for this challenge** Solid experience in backend development using **Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript**. Knowledge of Python and FastAPI. Experience building REST APIs and event-driven architectures. Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, BullMQ, or similar technologies. Experience with PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices. Experience with observability and monitoring of distributed applications. Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant architectures. Experience using AI tools — such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar — to increase productivity and software development quality. Technical English for reading documentation and collaborating with global technologies. **Nice-to-have** Experience with React and TypeScript for administrative interface development. Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, and GitOps practices. Knowledge of observability applied to AI applications using Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools. Experience in Platform Engineering and development of shared platforms. Knowledge of analytical data modeling.
