Key Responsibilities Support and Evolution: Maintain and enhance critical applications within the payments ecosystem. Legacy Java: Work on legacy applications using Java 8, WebObjects with Wonder, Quartz, and Axis/SOAP integrations. Modern Java: Develop and evolve modern backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot. Transactional Flows: Develop, fix, and optimize critical backend flows related to payments. Integrations: Handle integrations with internal systems and external partners. Modernization: Support modernization initiatives, containerization, and deployment on Kubernetes using Helm. Analysis and Resolution: Investigate incidents, integration failures, performance issues, and unexpected behaviors in production. Quality: Contribute to automated testing, mocks, and technical validations using Playwright and WireMock. Architecture: Apply best practices for resilience, such as fallback, retry, and circuit breaker. Data and Infrastructure: Work with SQL Server databases, Ansible-based automation, and Kafka-based integrations/events. **Requirements and Qualifications** Java Development: Experience with Java 8 (with focus on maintaining legacy systems) and experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot. Frameworks & Jobs: Knowledge of or strong willingness to work with WebObjects with Wonder, plus experience with Quartz for job execution. Integrations: Practical knowledge of SOAP/Axis and Kafka integrations. Infrastructure & DevOps: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible. Database: Experience with SQL Server. Quality & Testing: Experience or familiarity with testing using Playwright and WireMock.
