Senior Python Developer

**What are we looking for?** We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to work on the development and evolution of a high-transaction Python API. The candidate will handle key technical decisions — from data modeling to integration architecture — and play an active role in ensuring system quality and performance. **Key Responsibilities:** Develop, maintain, and evolve backend APIs and services in Python. Ensure the health and performance of transactional MySQL databases via DBaaS. Use BigQuery as the analytical foundation, modeling and optimizing high-volume queries. Actively participate in architecture decisions and code reviews within the squad. Collaborate with product and data teams to ensure high-quality, traceable deliveries. **Requirements:** Strong experience with Python for API and backend service development. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar). Experience with cloud environments — GCP, AWS, or Azure. Familiarity with analytical tools such as BigQuery or equivalents. Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban) in product teams. Ability to technically lead discussions and influence architectural decisions. **Nice-to-haves:** Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark or PySpark. Advanced knowledge of BigQuery — partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization. Hands-on experience with DBaaS and best practices for production database management. Experience across multiple cloud providers (GCP \+ AWS or Azure).
