**Responsibilities and duties** **Key activities:**
* Perform technical and operational control of pharmaceutical and hospital supply inventory;
* Monitor pharmaceutical and supply inventory levels, tracking inflows and outflows to prevent waste and ensure adequate stock is always available;
* Manage inventory through quality controls to support rational medication use and cost reduction;
* Participate in the selection and procurement of medications and products, evaluating quality and compliance with sanitary regulations;
* Supervise product storage according to ANVISA requirements (RDC No. 653/2022 or current legislation);
* Ensure product quality and safety from acquisition through dispensing;
* Monitor expiration dates, storage conditions, batch numbers, and traceability of materials and medications, ensuring proper storage conditions—including temperature, humidity, and light exposure—to maintain quality and efficacy;
* Manage the computerized inventory control system (inflows, outflows, inventory counts, and restocking);
* Participate in standardization, planning, procurement, and distribution of medications and supplies;
* Generate consumption, loss, and logistics performance reports for pharmacy and warehouse operations;
* Conduct periodic inventory audits and propose improvements to inventory control;
* Coordinate dispensing of materials and medications to clinical units based on established protocols;
* Inspect received products, product invoices, and complete purchase documentation;
* Supervise invoice entries and procurement-related reporting;
* Support internal and external audits by providing technical and operational data from the area;
* Ensure traceability of specially controlled medications per Ordinance No. 344/1998;
* Monitor logistics processes to guarantee timely receipt of supplies;
* Prepare management reports on inventory movement, losses, and consumption;
* Supervise the operational team;
* Supervise dispensing of materials and medications to clinical units based on protocols;
* Review and keep departmental documents updated (manuals, bylaws, procedures, etc.) in accordance with the Unit’s standardization, ensuring their availability to staff, auditors, and other stakeholders;
* Monitor compliance with safety, storage, and waste disposal regulations;
* Perform other related tasks.
**Requirements and qualifications** **Required qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy;
* Active registration with the Regional Pharmacy Council (CRF);
* Minimum six months’ experience in hospital pharmacy, warehouse, or CAF;
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
**Desirable:**
* Postgraduate degree in Hospital Pharmacy, Hospital Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields;
* Practical experience with hospital information systems;
* Training in Good Storage and Dispensing Practices;
* Experience in audits or accreditation processes;
**Specific knowledge:**
* Sanitary legislation (ANVISA, RDC No. 653/2022, Ordinance No. 344/1998);
* Hospital logistics chain and cold chain;
* Control and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and hospital supplies;
* Inventory planning and control (minimum, maximum, PVPS);
* Logistics and pharmaceutical performance indicators;
* Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP);
* Fundamentals of pharmacovigilance and patient safety.
