




Job Summary: We are seeking a Press Coordinator to lead the Communications Advisory Office, strategically shaping the institution’s public image and managing media relations. Key Highlights: 1. Draft and review press releases, official statements, and press materials We are looking for a Press Coordinator to lead the Communications Advisory Office, strategically shaping the institution’s public image and managing media relations. **Main Responsibilities:** * Lead and coordinate the client’s Communications Advisory Office team of journalists and photographers; * Plan journalistic coverage of the client’s initiatives, defining storylines, schedules, and field teams; * Proactively engage with national, regional, and international media, proposing strategic storylines and strengthening institutional relationships; * Respond to media requests by providing sources, clarifications, and official positions; * Draft and review press releases, official statements, articles, and press materials; * Plan and coordinate press conferences and individual interviews with ministry spokespersons; * Manage the press mailing list, ensuring constant, segmented updates by editorial department/media outlet; * Supervise media monitoring (clippings) and support analysis of the impact of published initiatives; * Ensure alignment of communications with the ministry’s strategic guidelines; * Collaborate with other communications areas (social media, audiovisual, internal communications, etc.) on integrated campaigns. **Requirements and Skills:** * Bachelor’s degree in Journalism; * Solid experience in communications, with proven track record in press advisory roles—preferably within public agencies, communications agencies, or major media outlets; * Experience leading teams of journalists; * Knowledge of public administration operations and political/institutional reporting; * Excellent journalistic writing skills and mastery of standard Brazilian Portuguese; * Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with journalists and editors; * Crisis management expertise and ability to engage with opinion leaders; * Proficiency in mailing tools, media monitoring platforms, and press conference organization; * Intermediate English proficiency. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Prior experience in press advisory roles for ministries or federal agencies; * Familiarity with science, technology, innovation, and environmental topics; * Participation in media training sessions, press conferences, and large-scale institutional events. **What We Offer:** * Monthly remuneration of R$ 10.000,00 (ten thousand Brazilian reais) * A healthy, collaborative, and innovative work environment. * Opportunities for professional development. * On-site work in Brasília/DF (For this position, candidates must reside in Brasília/DF; if you are from another state and apply, we will assume you have the required availability.) * PJ (individual contractor) hiring arrangement.
