




Job Summary: A professional responsible for informing about workplace risks, guiding on elimination and neutralization measures, analyzing work processes and methods to identify risk factors, proposing their elimination or control, and implementing prevention programs. Inform the employer, through a technical opinion, about existing workplace risks as well as guide\-him on elimination and neutralization measures; inform workers about the risks associated with their activities, as well as elimination and neutralization measures; analyze work methods and processes and identify risk factors for occupational accidents, occupational diseases and work\-related diseases, and the presence of environmental agents harmful to workers, proposing their elimination or control; implement occupational safety and hygiene procedures and evaluate the results achieved, adapting\-them to the strategies employed so as to integrate the preventive process into its planning, thereby benefiting workers; implement occupational accident, occupational disease and work\-related disease prevention programs in workplaces with worker participation, monitoring and evaluating their outcomes, continuously suggesting updates, and establishing procedures to be followed; promote discussions, meetings, campaigns, seminars, lectures, meetings, training, and use other didactic and pedagogical resources to disseminate occupational safety and hygiene regulations, technical, administrative and preventive topics, aiming to prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases and work\-related diseases; implement safety regulations related to construction, expansion, renovation, physical layout and workflow projects, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and hygiene measures, including those applied by third parties; forward standards, regulations, documentation, statistical data, analysis and evaluation results, technical and educational support materials, and other dissemination materials to competent departments and areas for workers\' awareness and self\-development; indicate, request and inspect fire protection equipment, audiovisual and didactic resources, and other materials deemed indispensable according to current legislation, meeting recommended quality and technical specifications, and evaluating their performance; cooperate with environmental activities, advising on industrial waste treatment and disposal, and encouraging and raising workers\' awareness of its importance to life; guide activities carried out by contracted companies regarding occupational safety and hygiene procedures stipulated in legislation or specified in service contracts; perform occupational safety and hygiene activities using scientific methods and techniques, observing legal and institutional provisions aimed at eliminating, controlling or permanently reducing occupational accident risks and improving workplace conditions to preserve workers\' physical and mental integrity; collect and study occupational accident, occupational disease and work\-related disease statistics, calculate their frequency and severity to adjust preventive actions, regulations, standards and other technical provisions enabling collective and individual protection; coordinate and collaborate with human resources departments, providing them with technical risk assessment results for various areas and activities to support personnel\-level preventive measures; inform workers and employers about unhealthy, hazardous and arduous activities existing in the company, their specific risks, as well as elimination or neutralization measures and alternatives; assess workplace environmental conditions and issue a technical opinion to support safe work planning and organization for workers; coordinate and collaborate with agencies and entities involved in occupational accident, occupational disease and work\-related disease prevention; participate in seminars, training sessions, congresses and courses aimed at professional exchange and development.
