Description
We are looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for analyzing, classifying, and reconciling accounting, financial, and tax-related information. Prepare and submit ancillary tax obligations; calculate national, import, and export taxes. Perform accounting reconciliations according to the parent company's guidelines. Support internal and external audit requests. Assist in updating and creating new Controller’s BI reports. Support the technical development of interns and junior analysts on the team, as well as fulfill requests from other company departments.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Perform accounting analyses and entries in accordance with tax and accounting regulations;
* Classify financial documents and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts;
* Support monthly and annual accounting closings;
* Calculate taxes and generate tax payment slips;
* Analyze tax withholdings on service invoices;
* Support internal and external audits by organizing documentation and evidence;
* Update reports, KPIs, and BI dashboards for the Controller’s area;
* Support the technical development of interns and junior analysts;
* Collaborate with departments such as Tax, Finance, Procurement, and HR;
* Participate in process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Knowledge of accounting, tax, and financial entries;
* Understanding of profit calculation and management reporting;
* Proficiency in numerical analysis, KPIs, and reporting;
* Intermediate/advanced Excel skills;
* Familiarity with Protheus (TOTVS) system is desirable;
* Familiarity with Power BI is desirable.
**Academic Background:**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Accounting Sciences;
* Postgraduate studies in progress in Controllership, Finance, or related fields are desirable.
**Language:**
* Intermediate English
