Job Summary: We are seeking a Prepress Editor to transform education, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines for printed materials—from file preparation through production control. Founded in 2011 on a bold idea: transforming education by changing how we teach. **JOIN US IN TRANSFORMING EDUCATION.** We are looking for a **PREPRESS EDITOR.** **The selected professional will be responsible for the following activities:** Review and prepare files for printing, performing imposition, adjustments, and technical validations. Verify color standards, resolution, bleed, margins, and formats according to graphic production specifications. Perform image processing and correction when necessary. Execute preflight processes, validations, and technical corrections using the PitStop plugin. Generate digital proofs and monitor internal validations of materials. Adjust files according to printers’ technical specifications. Organize, version, and control final files destined for production. Perform backups, archiving, and file retrieval as needed. Complete and maintain spreadsheets with file technical specifications and production controls. Support creative, editorial, and graphic production teams throughout the production workflow. Identify and correct technical inconsistencies prior to print release. Ensure adherence to deadlines, technical standards, and quality of printed materials. **REQUIREMENTS:** Proven experience in prepress or graphic production. Proficiency with the Adobe suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Experience using the PitStop plugin for preflight and technical corrections. Knowledge of file imposition for offset and/or digital printing. Understanding of color profiles (CMYK, RGB, and ICC). Familiarity with graphic standards and printing technical specifications. Experience organizing, controlling, and retrieving digital files. Ability to complete and manage technical spreadsheets. Organization, attention to detail, and sense of priority. **PREFERRED:** Experience in editorial production or educational textbooks. Knowledge of automated prepress workflows. Experience with contract proofs and color certification. Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems or other file management systems. Basic knowledge of imposition.
