Coordinates storage and allocation of items in inventory Ensure correct receipt of merchandise by verifying quantities and quality of received products. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Prepare the department for merchandise receipt: prepare pallet allocation areas, verify area cleanliness, and commence operations. * Receive merchandise: prepare receiving areas, verify shipping documentation (type, batch, brand, quantity). * Unload trucks: inspect overall packaging condition and seals; select samples and verify conformity with purchase orders and product quality; measure trailer temperatures for perishable deliveries; if compliant, begin unloading. Collect shipping documentation and deliver it to the invoicing office for appropriate action. * Allocate unloaded products to their designated locations in inventory; label pallets with batch number, product type, and expiration date; coordinate merchandise storage.
