Lead and guide the editorial team in a dynamic environment The **Lance!** is seeking a Deputy Editor for National Football with strategic vision and extreme agility. You will be responsible for coordinating coverage of the country's top clubs and competitions (Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, State Championships), ensuring our audience receives high-quality real-time information, distinctive analysis, and headlines that dominate social media and SEO. ### **Your Responsibilities:** * Plan, organize, and oversee daily production of reports, news briefs, live coverage, and special content across digital platforms; * Edit and review articles produced by reporters, ensuring grammatical accuracy, factual precision, editorial alignment, and adherence to SEO strategies; * Supervise and guide the editorial team, assigning tasks, organizing work schedules, and monitoring the productivity of journalists under your coordination; * Serve as the liaison with the Editorial Management team, sharing results, editorial priorities, and proposing workflow improvements; * Monitor real-time and post-publication audience metrics, adjusting coverage direction according to performance data and consumption trends; * Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure execution of sponsored editorial deliverables and identify opportunities for content integration; * Uphold the brand’s editorial line, maintaining quality standards and the publication’s institutional tone; * Participate in editorial alignment meetings and contribute to the technical development of team journalists. ### **What We Seek (Requirements):** * **Completed Higher Education**: Journalism * **Experience**: Solid track record in sports newsrooms (minimum 5 years), with prior experience in editing or coordination roles. * **In-Depth Knowledge**: Comprehensive understanding of the Brazilian football landscape (clubs, behind-the-scenes dynamics, tactics, and sports politics). * **SEO Expertise**: Ability to transform breaking news into content that ranks at the top of organic search results. * **Leadership**: Capacity to manage crises, deliver constructive feedback, and keep the team motivated under deadline pressure. * **Availability**: Flexible working hours, considering the football calendar (weekends and night matches).
