We are Santa Casa de Porto Alegre, a hospital complex comprising eight hospitals and boasting over **two hundred years of history**. We are a national and international reference in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, organ transplants, neurosurgery, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, oncology, and high-complexity pediatrics. Annually, we serve **over one million people** from all Brazilian states and **490 municipalities** in Rio Grande do Sul.
With more than **10\.000 professionals**, we are making history and helping build a world where everyone has access to quality healthcare. Daily, over **25,000 people** pass through our corridors, and with humanity, compassion, ethics, kindness, respect, and love, we make a difference in the lives of them all.
Diversity and Inclusion are fundamental to Santa Casa because we are many—in number, in differences, and in equalities. We are multiplicity. Yet we are also humanity. We are plural individuals united by a singular purpose. We are all Santa Casa. Thus, “SOMOS” is the name given to Santa Casa’s Diversity and Inclusion Program.
Our culture of welcoming, caring, and coexisting is present across all our hospitals: Santa Clara Hospital, São Francisco Hospital, Pereira Filho Pavilion, São José Hospital, Santa Rita Hospital, Dom Vicente Scherer Hospital, Santo Antônio Children’s Hospital (in Porto Alegre), and Dom João Becker Hospital (in Gravataí/RS). Also part of Santa Casa are the **Primary Health Care Units** (APS), the **Emergency Care Unit** (UPA), **Madre Ana Support House**, the **Historic-Cultural Center**, and the **Santa Casa Cemetery**.
Santa Casa de Porto Alegre unites tradition, innovation, history, culture, teaching, and research. **Shall we join forces to make a difference in people’s lives?**
