**Responsibilities and Duties** **Main Activities:**
* Conduct nursing consultations (when necessary);
* Develop and manage examination and consultation schedules;
* Organize nursing service operations and provide support to nursing technicians;
* Perform high-complexity procedures and act as a facilitator for all nursing care processes;
* Promote quality and development of safe nursing care for society and nursing professionals by implementing and executing monitoring and process improvement systems, methods, and procedures;
* Apply and monitor compliance with legal professional practice requirements, observing relevant legislation and the Nursing Professionals’ Code of Ethics;
* Know and comply with clinical protocols, nursing standards/routines, and Work Instructions;
* Train nursing technicians on the nursing care analysis protocol;
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care;
* Manage and control medications within the unit;
* Provide discharge instructions to patients;
* Assign patients according to dependency level and team workload;
* Maintain control over available rooms, equipment, and beds;
* Document patient progress in medical records;
* Perform other related tasks.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Nursing.
* Active and valid registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN).
* Knowledge of nursing care and professional practice legislation;
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
**Desirable:**
* Postgraduate studies in fields related to hospital practice, emergency and urgent care, intensive therapy, or related areas;
* Prior experience in hospital settings or SUS (Unified Health System) units;
* Familiarity with electronic medical record systems;
* Basic and/or advanced life support courses.
**Specific Knowledge:**
* Nursing Care Systematization (SAE) and Nursing Process;
* Clinical Protocols and Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health;
* Patient Safety Goals;
* Legislation governing nursing professional practice;
* Patient safety standards, infection control, and quality of care;
* Professional ethics and humanized care;
* Medication administration and dosage calculation;
* Biosafety and standard precautions.
