**Requirements and qualifications:**
In this process, the paint (typically powder or liquid) is charged with static electricity.
The part to be painted is grounded (with opposite charge).
The attraction between the charges causes the paint to adhere strongly and uniformly to the surface.
Then, the part is placed in a curing oven, where the paint melts and forms a resistant and durable coating.
