Job Summary:
A Terminal Supervisor responsible for monitoring activities, guiding users, controlling vehicle flow, and maintaining order and safety at a bus terminal.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and prevent irregular activities in accordance with terminal regulations.
2. Control and guide bus and vehicle traffic, and assist users.
3. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, property protection, and security of the terminal.
A company managing and operating urban mobility infrastructure is seeking a Terminal Supervisor in Natal (Downtown).
Socicam is a company specialized in managing bus terminals and transportation facilities. It provides comprehensive solutions for the administration and operation of urban mobility spaces.
**Responsibilities:**
Prevent unauthorized commerce and irregular activities on platforms in accordance with terminal regulations, escalating to security when necessary. Identify and report non-routine incidents, equipment failures, and facility issues to the unit supervisor and/or manager. Provide users with boarding/alighting information while stationed on platforms, lanes, entry/exit booths, bus parking areas, and pre-boarding zones. Control and guide bus traffic regarding platform usage timing (boarding and alighting). Monitor bus dwell time on waiting platforms. Manage bus flow during terminal entry, stay, and exit. Monitor and control access of private vehicles into terminal premises. Verify identification of authorized personnel (bus companies, official agencies, press, service providers, etc.). Assist users with luggage storage services. Work at the information counter, selling phone cards, performing mobile operator top-ups, providing bath and towel services, and handling cash payments. Assist persons with reduced mobility, including physically, visually, and hearing-impaired individuals, as well as seniors, with navigation inside the terminal. Provide telephone support at the information counter to assist users. Assist with reception/transmission using handheld radios (HTs). Monitor all alarm systems (light panels, escalators, public address systems, fire alarms, elevators, etc.) and request support from the operations supervisor as needed. Assist in ensuring smooth local traffic flow. Supervise and guide practices related to cleanliness, maintenance, property protection, and order across all terminal sectors in compliance with terminal regulations. Adhere to safety regulations and wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE); use of personal PPE is strictly prohibited. Comply with and enforce all procedures and regulations assigned to this role under the company’s quality management system. Clearly understand and adhere to the company’s quality policy and Code of Conduct. Safeguard company assets. Perform other duties related to those described above, as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor, Inspection Agent, Terminal Supervisor, or Transportation Inspector may indicate suitability for some responsibilities of this position.
High school diploma required. No prior experience required.
