Description

Verity is looking for new talents! We are a digital transformation and innovation consulting firm, and we’re seeking a **Senior Solutions Architect** to join us on this journey. Here are the experiences and knowledge you’ll need to accelerate and transform with us: **Responsibilities and duties** Lead architecture design for new products, digital platforms, and legacy system modernization. Translate business needs into scalable, secure, resilient, and sustainable technical solutions. Model systems and architectures using the C4 Model, covering context, containers, components, and—when necessary—code-level details. Define architectural standards for microservices, integrations, APIs, messaging, and inter-system communication. Design cloud-native solutions considering high availability, elasticity, security, observability, and cost optimization. Support the evolution of distributed, event-driven, and reactive system architectures. Act as a bridge between business units, Product, and development teams, ensuring alignment among strategy, architecture, and implementation. Guide engineering teams in adopting technical best practices and architectural standards. Support decisions regarding technologies, frameworks, platforms, integrations, and cloud services. Assess technical impacts, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and opportunities for improvement. Participate in technical discussions, refinements, solution discovery, and initiative planning. Support API, integration, microservice, and security standard governance. Contribute to observability, monitoring, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing strategies. **Responsibilities:** Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and organizational technical standards. Define scalable, resilient, secure architectures prepared for future evolution. Technically lead architecture initiatives—from conception through implementation oversight. Promote best practices in distributed architecture, microservices, integration, security, and cloud-native design. Establish guidelines for API usage, messaging, events, observability, and cloud platforms. Support legacy system modernization by proposing evolutionary and sustainable strategies. Ensure clarity in communicating architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Serve as a technical reference for backend, infrastructure, security, and product development teams. Evaluate and document technical trade-offs, considering timeline, cost, complexity, risk, and business value. Contribute to corporate architecture standardization and evolution. Disseminate technical knowledge, best practices, and architectural standards across teams. Support identification and mitigation of technical risks, bottlenecks, architectural debt, and scalability issues. **Requirements and qualifications** Solid experience as a Solutions Architect, Software Architect, Tech Lead, or similar role. Experience designing distributed architectures and ecosystems based on microservices. Advanced knowledge of architectural patterns, system integration, and application modernization. Experience tackling eventual consistency, resilience, concurrency, scalability, and fault tolerance challenges. Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging, and Pub/Sub patterns. Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar streaming and messaging technologies. Understanding of reactive systems principles and resilient architectures. Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes—including concepts like clusters, pods, services, ingress, networking, scalability, and workload management. Experience with containers and cloud-native architectures. Knowledge of the API lifecycle—including design, versioning, security, publishing, monitoring, and governance. Experience with REST, gRPC, and/or GraphQL APIs. Experience with API Gateway or API Management tools such as Kong, Apigee, WSO2, or similar. Practical knowledge of security applied to architecture—including IAM, authentication, authorization, and access segregation. Experience with protocols and standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mTLS. Experience designing observability strategies based on metrics, logs, and distributed tracing. Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Datadog, or similar. Relevant prior experience in backend development, including deploying applications to production. Experience with languages such as Java, Go, C#, Python, or similar. Ability to produce technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and architecture decision records (ADRs). Strong communication skills, systemic thinking, critical thinking, and technical decision-making ability. **Differentiators:** Experience in high-availability environments, high-volume transactional systems, or mission-critical systems. Experience modernizing monoliths to microservices or event-driven architectures. Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event Storming, or complex domain modeling. Experience with hexagonal architecture, clean architecture, or similar patterns. Knowledge of platform engineering, internal developer platforms, or platform practices. Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization. Knowledge of DevSecOps and security-integrated development lifecycles. Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar. Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or similar. Knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL, distributed caching, and persistence strategies. Experience with data architecture, event streaming, and integration with analytical pipelines. Cloud, architecture, Kubernetes, or security certifications. Experience in technical governance, architecture review boards, or corporate standard definition. **Additional information** **Here, we are human, we are digital, we are Verity!** Everything we do is grounded in our 8 POWER PRINCIPLES: * Love technology; * Take on major responsibilities; * Cultivate trust-based relationships through transparency; * Pay attention and be guided by customer needs and experience; * Tackle challenges agilely; * Collaborate across people and teams; * Encourage conscious autonomy; * Achieve results consciously.
