SAP Development Leader

**We are seeking an SAP Development Leader who will be responsible for managing ITS’s software development factory, ensuring efficiency, quality, governance, and delivery predictability. The professional will play a strategic role in leading ABAP Development, Basis, Analytics, and SAP Integration (SCPI/CPI) streams, promoting cross-functional integration, technological evolution, and strengthening the technical operations of the consulting practice.** **Key Responsibilities** * Lead ITS’s SAP development factory, ensuring organization, productivity, quality, and delivery predictability * Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams covering ABAP Development, Basis, Analytics, and SAP Integrations (SCPI/CPI) * Manage operational and strategic aspects of technical streams, promoting alignment among teams, priorities, and execution capacity * Manage people, fostering continuous development, engagement, performance monitoring, and technical strengthening of teams * Plan, prioritize, and track technical requests, ensuring adherence to deadlines, SLAs, and delivery quality * Define and evolve software factory processes—including governance, backlog management, development pipelines, technical standards, and operational workflows * Provide technical support to the team in critical decision-making, without necessarily serving as the primary specialized technical reference * Ensure adoption of SAP development and architecture best practices—including Clean Core principles, extensibility, and modern integrations * Coordinate Basis, Analytics, and SAP Integration streams, ensuring stability, efficient cross-functional integration, and technical alignment of solutions * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to align expectations, priorities, and technical direction * Support innovation and technological evolution initiatives focused on SAP BTP, cloud solutions, and SAP architecture modernization * Participate in estimations, capacity planning, operational structuring, and support for technical/commercial proposals * Mandatory Requirements * Solid experience in SAP (ABAP) development * Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams * Experience managing technical requests and operating a software factory * Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA * Experience with SAP integrations (CPI/SCPI, APIs, OData, IDocs, Web Services) * Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) * Understanding of SAP Basis operations and SAP technical architecture * Experience managing backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and tracking deliveries * Ability to act as a bridge between business, technology, and technical teams **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private) * Knowledge of Analytics tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Datasphere, BW, etc.) * Experience leading or coordinating Basis and SAP Integration teams * Experience with software factory governance and service delivery models (AMS, projects, and enhancements) * SAP certifications (ABAP, BTP, Integration, Analytics) * Familiarity with agile methodologies and SAP Activate * Experience with Clean Core architecture and extensions on SAP BTP **Behavioral Competencies** * Strong ownership over deliverables and outcomes * People leadership focused on development, performance, and cross-functional collaboration * Organization and prioritization skills * Clear communication with technical teams, management, and stakeholders * Collaborative, integrative, and solution-oriented profile * Decision-making ability and composure under pressure * Systemic vision and focus on operational efficiency **Additional Information** * Direct leadership role within ITS’s SAP development factory * Strategic role in managing and integrating ABAP Development, Basis, Analytics, and SAP Integration streams * Dynamic environment with multiple concurrent technical streams and strong interaction among technical teams * Strong emphasis on innovation, technological advancement, and adoption of SAP Cloud and SAP BTP solutions
