Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Refrigeration Assistant to provide direct support to the mechanic, ensuring service efficiency while developing skills for future career advancement.
Key Highlights:
1. Opportunity to develop skills in refrigeration and HVAC
2. Essential field support role, the mechanic's right-hand person
3. Focus on proactivity and willingness to learn for professional growth
**Overall Objective**
Provide direct field support to the Refrigeration Mechanic across all activities. The primary goal is to ensure agility in installation and maintenance processes while building practical skills to grow professionally and become a qualified mechanic in the future.
**Key Responsibilities (Daily Support)**
* **Infrastructure Preparation:** Assist with drilling holes using a rotary hammer, routing copper tubing, thermal insulation, and securing supports (French clamps).
* **Organization and Logistics:** Prepare tools before heading to the client site, organize the worksite, and ensure no materials (screws, tapes, refrigerant gas, ladders) are missing during service.
* **Cleaning and Hygiene:** Responsible for washing filters, casings, and coils under the mechanic's supervision.
* **Assembly and Disassembly:** Assist in removing heavy components and reassembling equipment after maintenance.
* **Safety:** Ensure proper worksite signage and correct use of PPE—for both yourself and your colleague.
**What We Expect from This Professional (Growth Profile)**
* **Proactivity:** Anticipate the mechanic's needs (e.g., already having the correct tool ready before being asked).
* **Willingness to Learn:** Show interest in understanding refrigeration cycles and how to use measurement instruments.
* **Attention to Detail:** Be careful not to damage the client's property (walls, furniture, or the unit itself).
* **Grounded Attitude:** Understand that final responsibility and technical decisions rest with the mechanic, focusing instead on executing assigned tasks with excellence.
**Basic Requirements**
* Preferably currently enrolled in or having completed a basic refrigeration course (SENAI or similar).
* Physical fitness for labor-intensive work requiring effort and ladder use.
* Basic familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, pliers, drills).
**What Is NOT His Responsibility (Handled by the Mechanic)**
* **Final Diagnosis:** He does not make the final determination regarding the machine's fault.
* **High-Risk Technical Decisions:** Such as brazing (soldering) pressurized systems or handling high-voltage electricity without supervision.
* **Document Signatures:** Responsibility for service orders and technical reports lies with the mechanic or company representative.
Note: This position is ideal for those seeking an "entry point" into the HVAC industry. It is a trusted role within the mechanic's team, functioning as his "right-hand person" during service execution.
