**A day in the life of a Logistics Operator:**
* MERCHANDISE RECEIPT:
+ Conducts quantitative and qualitative receipt of both commercial and non-commercial merchandise (equipment, office supplies, etc.), verifying and identifying general condition, supplier, length, reference, shade, expiration date, etc.
+ Prepares the physical space and necessary equipment for proper receipt, avoiding loss of productivity during inspection.
+ Records all relevant details about received merchandise (quantities, apparent condition, expiration dates, etc.) on the inspection report, ensuring quality and preventing losses.
+ Stores merchandise at the correct warehouse location by reading the receipt slip to expedite future order picking or delivery.
+ Labels products missing or defective barcodes and applies security labels to theft-prone items, ensuring merchandise delivered to stores is ready for sale.
+ Sorts merchandise according to flow type—store or warehouse merchandise.
+ Releases merchandise for storage in Store or Warehouse by contacting the Replenishment or Storage team to perform storage (receiving note).
+ Conducts anti-shrinkage actions through rigorous qualitative and quantitative checks on received merchandise, via efficient vehicle flow in the Merchandise Receipt yard and proper handling of material handling equipment (pallet jacks, cages, etc.).
+ Keeps equipment, tools, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) organized.
+ Performs safe stacking of pallets to prevent damage to property and people.
+ Maintains the receipt area clean and organized to help combat shrinkage and prevent workplace accidents.
+ Receives shrinkage items validated by the Sales Department, performs qualitative and quantitative inspection, and places shrinkage items in the designated disposal area.
+ Receives returns to suppliers validated by the Sales Department, performs qualitative and quantitative inspections, and schedules pickup.
+ Receives shipments for Technical Support, performs qualitative and quantitative inspection, and schedules pickup.
* PICKUP AND HOME DELIVERY:
+ Picks RSS (Reserve Against Stock), identifies products, and informs the Commercial Department of the picking status.
+ Assigns physical locations for merchandise based on the RSS product list, maintaining rotating inventory.
+ Delivers merchandise to customers promptly and courteously, placing them into the customer’s vehicle.
+ Picks and inspects merchandise, verifying all items listed on the issued order, and makes them available for customer pickup at the merchandise pickup area or for courier delivery (home delivery).
* REPLENISHMENT:
+ Restocks products onto shelves appropriately.
* INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
+ Stores and ensures inventory quality and reliability.
+ Reviews daily orders generated by the Commercial Department, analyzes data consistency required in orders (addresses, phone numbers, delivery dates, references, availability, etc.), organizes orders chronologically, and releases them for billing.
+ Provides telephone customer service regarding delivery timelines.
+ Informs the Logistics Supervisor of any issues involving the picking team, operations, or products.
+ Assists the Logistics Supervisor in effective warehouse slotting (setup, rotating inventories, etc.).
+ Handles canceled RSS orders on a daily basis.
+ Records shrinkage incidents identified during merchandise picking.
+ Maintains good relationships and serves as the liaison with third-party couriers.
+ Collaborates with the Customer Service team to proactively address potential merchandise-related issues.
+ Reports merchandise-related incidents to the Logistics Supervisor and/or Logistics Manager.
+ Serves as the primary contact point for the Merchandise Pickup Counter.
+ Is responsible for their work equipment.
+ Adheres to safety regulations.
