Selection Question(s):
* In the lingerie market, final product quality critically depends on consistency of highly technical inputs—such as elastane-containing lace, microfibers, and support trims—which often involve fragmented suppliers or long lead times.
Imagine our flagship Valentine’s Day collection is scheduled for launch in 4 months. Our approved supplier for exclusive lace reports a machinery breakdown, extending the delivery timeline from 30 to 90 days—rendering timely production impossible.
As Purchasing Coordinator, what immediate and strategic actions would you take to mitigate this risk without compromising profit margins—and, above all, without sacrificing the required tactile feel (touch) and elasticity standards demanded by our customers?
