Job Summary: A professional responsible for various tasks at construction sites, including breaking concrete, grinding rebar, preparing mortar, and assembling scaffolding. Key Highlights: 1. Diverse work involving the use of tools and machinery. 2. Responsibility for preparing and organizing the construction site. 3. Execution of essential tasks for the structure and safety of the construction project. Break concrete as needed. Use an electric demolition hammer (jackhammer) to break concrete and create space for applying mortar. Grind rebar on-site. Use a grinder to clean rebar and remove rust, leaving it clean. Apply protective coating to rebar. Use a brush to apply a special protective product onto rebar to prevent future rusting. Prepare mortar. Place materials into a mortar mixer and mix thoroughly to produce mortar for on-site use. Prepare mortar in a concrete mixer. Use a concrete mixer to prepare mortar used for laying and securing blocks, when required. Assemble and dismantle scaffolding. Assemble and disassemble iron structures that assist masons working at heights. Clean the construction site daily. Collect waste, material remnants, and debris using shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows, keeping the site organized. Install grounding for safety. Drill into concrete, secure wires and specialized components to prevent electrical hazards and shocks. Paint curbs at the substation. Use a paint roller to paint curbs, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and finished appearance when required.
