Product category organization and management Description: Responsible for procuring products intended for resale in stores, ensuring the necessary variety, quality, and quantity to meet customer demand and optimize commercial results. This professional negotiates with suppliers, monitors inventory levels, and coordinates purchasing activities to guarantee continuous product availability while adhering to budget constraints and agreed delivery timelines. Responsibilities and Duties · Procure products for resale in supermarket stores—including food, beverages, cleaning supplies, and household essentials—always aligning purchase decisions with sales demand and the company’s commercial strategies. · Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with suppliers, consistently aiming to optimize cost-effectiveness and secure the best possible terms for the company. · Monitor inventory levels and product turnover, placing replenishment orders as needed to avoid both stockouts and overstocking of slow-moving items. · Analyze sales trends and customer consumption patterns to adjust purchasing plans and ensure high-demand products are consistently available on shelves. · Organize and manage product categories, ensuring the store offers a balanced and attractive product assortment aligned with consumer needs and marketing strategies. · Anticipate seasonal purchasing needs—for example, products for festive occasions (Christmas, Easter, etc.), promotions, and special campaigns—ensuring adequate availability of such items. · Oversee product receipt, verifying compliance with required quality standards and adherence to agreed delivery timelines with suppliers. · Manage the purchasing budget, analyzing and controlling product acquisition costs, continually seeking alternatives to reduce expenses without compromising purchased item quality. · Monitor competitors and market changes, identifying new product or supplier opportunities that could enhance the supermarket’s product range. · Ensure all purchasing-related documentation (purchase orders, quotations, contracts, invoices) is properly organized and complies with internal company policies and fiscal requirements. · Safeguard, maintain, clean, and ensure the security of work-specific equipment, instruments, tools, and premises. · Perform duties assigned to the position in alignment with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values. · Comply with the company’s occupational safety regulations, using required PPE (personal protective equipment) and collective protective equipment, safeguarding one’s own physical integrity and that of all colleagues. Requirements and Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Economics, Logistics, or related fields; * Solid experience in procurement/supply chain; * Experience with quotations, contracts, and purchase orders; * Strong analytical and organizational skills; * Negotiation-oriented and communicative profile. 2512250202491934682
