Responsibility and ethics in cash handling and closing procedures Job Objective Serve customers at the point of purchase payment, accurately registering items, operating the cash register system, and ensuring efficiency, courtesy, and accuracy in financial transactions—contributing to a positive shopping experience. Main Responsibilities * Accurately scan and register items in the cash register system using the barcode reader. * Accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, PIX, vouchers, or other methods provided by the company. * Verify received amounts and provide correct change. * Issue fiscal receipts and payment confirmations. * Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cashier station and work area. * Perform opening and closing procedures for the cash register according to company protocols. * Reconcile the cash drawer and report discrepancies to the supervisor or front-end team leader. * Provide courteous and professional customer service. * Assist with packing purchases when necessary. * Comply with safety standards, loss prevention measures, and internal company policies.
