You will be involved from conception through production monitoring, collaborating closely with Product and Business teams. You will play a pivotal role in architecture evolution and building sustainable systems—directly impacting the efficiency and quality of our operations. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your Day-to-Day Will Include:** * Developing and enhancing backend applications in Python (Django), ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability; * Working on mission-critical business systems handling high data volumes with direct operational impact; * Building and maintaining RESTful APIs, service integrations, and communication with other internal systems; * Modeling and manipulating data in PostgreSQL, ensuring efficiency and consistency; * Developing solutions integrated with data pipelines and distributed processing environments; * Working on messaging-based integrations, contributing to asynchronous, event-driven architectures; * Participating in the full development lifecycle—from analysis through production monitoring; * Investigating and resolving production issues, systematically identifying root causes; * Collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to build solutions aligned with company objectives; * Supporting implementation and evolution of observability practices (logs, metrics, tracing). **Requirements and Qualifications** **Essential for this role:** * Solid experience with the Django framework (Python) for application development; * Experience with messaging and/or event streaming (e.g., Kafka or similar); * Experience integrating services and developing APIs (REST); * Experience with code versioning (Git – Bitbucket, GitHub) and collaborative workflows; * Advanced SQL knowledge for data analysis and manipulation; * Experience with distributed and event-driven architectures; * Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS or similar); **Desirable but not mandatory:** * Experience with Databricks and/or Delta Lake; * Background in financial systems or the capital markets industry; * Experience with streaming-based architectures (e.g., Kafka); **Additional Information** At VERT, our benefits go beyond the essentials.
