Regardless of operation size, **Segware is for everyone.** **Be a SegMaker!** **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your day-to-day will include...** * Collaborate with our environment team to suggest new technologies or adjustments to the current platform * Focus on performance and stability of the entire production solution * Participate in the creation of new environments for new solutions * Analyze the current platform to propose new approaches that improve performance, stability, or cost-efficiency * Conduct ongoing analysis to identify potential cost reductions for Segware solutions **Requirements and Qualifications** **Your skills and experience are welcome here!** **Experience and Technical Knowledge** -------------------------------------- **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** Basic understanding of Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning. Familiarity with version control (Git). **Kubernetes and Container Orchestration** Basic understanding of Kubernetes (EKS or similar). Experience with Docker and fundamental container concepts. **Cloud Computing** Basic understanding of AWS or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC. **Observability (Monitoring, Logging)** Basic understanding of monitoring and logging using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar. Interest in understanding metrics and alerts. **Pipelines and Automation (CI/CD)** Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar). Familiarity with build and deployment processes. **Configuration Management** Basic understanding of automation tools such as Ansible or similar. Interest in best practices for environment configuration. **Networking and Security** Basic understanding of networking (VPC, Security Groups, firewall). Basic knowledge of access control and security best practices. **Databases and Storage** Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). Basic familiarity with queries. **Shell Scripting and Automation Languages** Basic proficiency in at least one language: Bash, Python, or similar. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and YAML. **Mindset** --------------- **Proactive Thinking** Interest in continuous learning and improvement. Willingness to understand problems and suggest simple improvements. **Problem Solving** Interest in investigating incidents with team support. Desire to learn troubleshooting using logs and metrics. **Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Culture** Basic understanding of or interest in reliability, monitoring, and automation concepts. Willingness to reduce manual tasks through scripts and tools. **Teamwork and Communication** Strong communication skills with development, infrastructure, and security teams. Ability to document activities and learnings.
