Job Summary: The professional will be responsible for operating the cash register, scanning items, receiving payments, organizing the workstation, and providing courteous customer service in a supermarket. Cash register organization and control Must have proven experience in this role within a supermarket; Work schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off Working hours: 1:40 PM to 10:00 PM Residing in the neighborhoods of Lagoa Redonda, Messejana, or Bom Jardim is a plus Accurately scan items into the point-of-sale (POS) system; Verify and accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, Pix, and other electronic means; Provide the customer with an official receipt or fiscal coupon; Organize and maintain cleanliness of the cash register and its surrounding area; Complete control reports when requested (e.g., cash closing, cash withdrawal); Perform cash register opening and closing according to internal procedures; Request change from the cashier/treasury as needed; Inform customers about promotions, payment methods, and return policies; Direct customers to the bagger when available, or assist with bagging; Report discrepancies, pricing errors, and incidents to the immediate supervisor; Comply with internal codes of conduct, safety protocols, loss prevention, and hygiene standards; Serve customers courteously, patiently, and empathetically, even under pressure.
