Job Summary: A professional responsible for receiving, inspecting, and moving cargo, ensuring product integrity and warehouse organization. Key Highlights: 1. Handling and inspection of cargo with attention to detail 2. Mandatory use of PPE and focus on workplace safety 3. Organization and cleanliness of the work area * **Positioning:** Guide the vehicle to dock or unloading location. * **Opening and Inspection:** Open trailers/grilles, verify cargo integrity, and check the invoice. * **Physical Handling:** Remove items (refrigerators, stoves, etc.) from the vehicle using ergonomic techniques and, where possible, auxiliary equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks. * **Symbol Inspection:** Observe handling symbols on boxes (e.g., "fragile", "this side up", "avoid moisture"). * **Movement to Warehouse:** Transport items to the internal inspection area or to storage. * **PPE Usage:** Mandatory use of protective equipment, including safety shoes, contact gloves, and sometimes a lumbar ergonomic belt. * **Organization and Cleanliness:** Maintain an organized work area (dock/warehouse) to facilitate movement. * **Physical Abilities:** Good physical capacity for manual handling of heavy cargo, with attention to workplace safety. * **Attention to Detail:** Inspect packaging and products for damage before finalizing acceptance or dispatch.
