Job Summary: Responsible for operating the cash register, delivering high-quality customer service, scanning products, participating in sales campaigns, and collaborating with the team to ensure service excellence. Collaboration and assistance in training new colleagues * Perform PDV opening: log into the system, verify and organize the cash float provided by the Cash Supervisor, clean and organize the checkout area to prepare both the environment and system for serving customers. * Serve customers according to Almeida Mercados’ quality standards: greet customers, offer the Almeida Club membership, request CPF for the receipt, scan products, and complete purchases courteously. * Scan customers’ purchased items at the checkout carefully; weigh fresh produce, complete the transaction, inform the customer of the item’s price, and assist with packing when necessary. * Participate in store-proposed sales campaigns by promoting featured products during the purchase registration process, thereby introducing and promoting those products and supporting increased store sales. * Request cash withdrawals from Cash Supervisors whenever the register balance reaches the established limit, monitoring and assisting in the procedure as instructed. * Assist in acquiring coins and change, continuously monitoring the optimal way to provide change to customers and requesting change from customers as needed. * Support the training of new cashiers by instructing them on technical procedures and customer service practices, always emphasizing professional conduct and ethics to ensure new colleagues receive comprehensive guidance on delivering excellent customer service.
